MCLA Goodbye 2020: @davefranklin97

Every MCLA athlete deserves an opportunity to enjoy that and I'm sorry for those who were robbed. Despite the uncertainty, try and stay positive and active however you can. A lot of former college athletes easily fall out of shape when their careers are over and feeling bad while suffering loss can also lead to unhealthy habits. If you are sad or angry about what was taken from you this year, try and think about all the good times from the previous years and start think about how you can replicate those emotions and experiences in the next chapters of your life.

Don't succumb to negativity. Again, this too shall pass.

Origin of the Pirates: @pdx_pirates_lacrosse_club

Starting a post collegiate lacrosse team can be difficult. Attempts to get 20-30 guys together every weekend can be like herding cross-eyed cats. There’s really two schools of thought. Either you load up your roster so every practice and every game you’re guaranteed to have enough players for each event. Or, you have a smaller team but each person's role is amplified. Either way, it’s a lot like starting a small business with a budget, target audience, and investors.

Service & Gratitude, from Black Top to Green Pastures: @davefranklin97

I feel empowered with each of my attempts to give back to this great sport with acts of service. The gratitude I feel from all that the game has given to me, most importantly a platform to change the world and become a better person; that can never be taken away from me and for that I feel invincible and so should every Harlem Lacrosse kid I ever coach or mentor.
